History and use of wood in architecture.
Wood was a common building material since the dawn of civilization. Wood did not last long, contrary to the Colosseum and a few beautiful Gothic buildings, as well as the charming streets of Old Rome. Wood still forms the inner structure of many beautiful structures, despite its use as an accent or side building material in later civilizations. Log cabins in the woods are more common than brick and mortar houses. This is because wood has a great cultural value. Wood is the most important substance we use to connect with nature. It helps us form a primitive, natural and in-line relationship with our environment. Wood is a Construction Material. Wood is one the most beautiful and easy-to-use materials, but it is not known if it will last.
